    Colombo Bourse started the session with marginal losses, but later indices dived into red; speculative stories on the country’s security
    rattled the investors and spoiled the confidence. Last week’s foreign outflows in government securities also further dampened the investorsentiments.

    Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,382.29- 5,444.61 points and settled the day at 5,386.27 with a loss of 52.48points (-0.96%).

    Major contributors for the movement in ASPI were DIAL (+1.7), JETS (+0.6), VONE (+0.5), DFCC (+0.4), CFIN (+0.4), JKH (-15.4), LION (-13.1), CTHR (-4.3), SAMP (-1.7) & COMB (-1.4)

      Colombo Bourse witnessed another lackluster session; indices were slightly positive during the early trade following the announcement of a long waited dividend on EAST, but later turned deep into negative terrain; some recovery was noted
      during the last hour, wiped part of the losses. Local investors dominated the last two sessions; volatility in large caps caused the drop in indices.

      Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,352.86- 5,390.01 points and settled the day at 5,382.54 with a loss of 3.73points (-0.07%).

      Major contributors for the movement in ASPI were CTC (+19.9), LION (+2.8), CTHR (+2.1), DIST (+2.0), AAIC (+1.1), HNB (-3.6), JKH (-3.1), UAL (- 2.8), SLTL (-2.7) & NTB (-2)

        Colombo Bourse which was faintly positive during the start of the session later turned negative and continued to close on negative terrain for the fifth consecutive day. However foreign investors turned net buyers for the day. T-Bill yields declined for the 10th consecutive week.

        Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,368.32 - 5,391.23 points and settled the day at 5,372.97 with a loss of 9.57 points (-0.18%).

        Major contributors for the movement in ASPI were SLTL (+1.9), SPEN (+1.4), UAL (+1.4), CLC (+1.4), DIST (+1.0), DIAL (-3.5), HNB (-1.5), COMB (- 1.4), JKH (-1.1) & SAMP (-1.1)

          Appreciation of the local currency and declining interest rates failed to convince the equity investors. Initially released quarterly earnings of several companies also were below expectations. Indices closed on negative terrain for the sixth
          consecutive day.

          Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,349.04- 5,374.86 points and settled the day at 5,352.20 with a loss of 20.77 points (-0.39%).

            Continuing negative impression on country’s security, political & economic environment makes retail investors to withdraw or mute their investments for a while; lower buying interest results steep decline in prices, even on liquid blue chips.

            Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,315.69- 5,365.87 points and settled the day at 5,327.68 with a loss of 24.52 points (-0.46%).

              Colombo Bourse which was positive during the early part of the session later turned negative and continued to close on negative terrain due to the tense situation prevailing in the country.

              Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,307.20- 5,345.34 points and settled the day at 5,307.20 with a loss of 20.48 points (-0.38%).

                Prevailing tense situation in the country continued to pressure Colombo Bourse, resulted a steep decline of over 1.5%, indices closed on negative terrain for the 9 th consecutive day. Majority of blue-ship counters (CTC, HNB &SAMP) recorded steep price decline. Foreign investors turned as bargain hunters today.

                Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,219.88- 5,308.13 points and settled the day at 5,223.69 with a loss of 83.51 points (-1.57%).

                  Colombo bourse continued to close on negative terrain due to prevailing unrest in social environment in the country and also due to this point released lower than expected financial results of listed counters.

                  Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,192.63 - 5,226.49 points and settled the day at 5,199.98 with a loss of 23.71 points (-0.45%).

                  Major contributors for the movement in ASPI were NIFL (+1.7), JKH (+1.4), BLI (+1.0), SHL (+1.0), MELS (+1.0), HNB (-3.9), CCS (-3.9), CLC (-2.7), LOFC (-1.8) & NEST (-1.7)

                    Colombo bourse returned to positive terrain with the steep price appreciation of CTC and CCS after solid financial results released by CTC and the decent dividend declared by CCS.

                    Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,198.95- 5,259.65 points and settled the day at 5,251.79 with a gain of 51.81 points (+1.00%).

                    Major contributors for the movement in ASPI were CTC (+13.5), CCS (+7.7), SLTL (+5.0), CLC (+2.7), MELS (+2.5), EAST (-2.6), COMB (-1.2), ASIR (-1.2), SPEN (-0.8) & CTEA (-0.7)

                      Country slowly recovering from disasters and prevailed unrest environment, positive statement from IMF on country’s ability of maintaining economy growth and EPF’s interest on Equities contributed positively in re-building investor confidence. Majority of the day’s turnover was resulted by foreign sales.

                      Benchmark index ASPI moved between 5,245.39 - 5,276.5065 points and settled the day at 5,259.71 with a gain of 7.92 points (+0.15%).
