Hope this will help to understand the diversity.
Dont see major expansion drive by Lotus Power (HPFL) & Resus.
VPEL dont see any upcoming projects, except Lotus Power plan to proceed with Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Halgranoya.
Interestingly LVEF made 211 million net earnings for the last quarter. If we annualised it we end up closer to 800mil+ net earnings attributable to shareholders. If we look at the earnings 12 trailing, it shows 473mil. This shift in earnings will adjust the PER to normalise to under 6. Does it have to be the same like its peers. Pack leaders will attract high PE ratios. So look unto leaders in sectors, that will attract above average.

Another super quarter ending 30/9. Inline to make super earnings in upcoming 2Qs. Upcoming 2Qs should be interesting as the earnings of last year Dec and Mar are very low compared recent average of 200k. So a definite boost.

Oil prices crashing and whoever emerge winner today can pass a big relief to consumers for sure. This will energized the economy and hope this deadlock over by noon.

US crude falls for 11th straight session, its longest losing streak on record.

LVEF edged up to Position #2 and VLL declined to Position #3 in terms of net earnings (recent earnings so a steep decline QoQ). VPEL held its no #1 position although quarterly earnings so a decline. Click image for larger version

Cabinet nod for 100MWs floating power plant

                  26 March 2019 10:16 am - 2

At a time when the country has plunged into darkness owing to inclement weather, the Cabinet last week approved the construction of a floating solar power plant with a capacity of 100MWs using Canadian technology, it is learnt.

According to the joint Cabinet paper submitted by President Maithripala Sirisena and Power and Energy Minister Ravi Karunanayake, the main stakeholders of the plant run as a joint venture are Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority.

The plant on water is said to store solar power in panels and batteries and is expected to be commissioned in 2025. Against this backdrop, the Cabinet gave the nod to appoint a committee of experts representing all stakeholders to finalise a blueprint to build the factory to produce solar panels and batteries.(Sandun A. Did CEB stop buying power from listed power companies?
